Third “European Digital Democracy network (EDDY) Conference” in Vienna (21 to 23 Sept. 2026)

The third European Digital Democracy network (EDDY) conference recently took place in Vienna. EDDY brings together academics and practitioners who are actively working on or with digital democracy to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange.

ADDI members Umberto Grandi, Mohamed Ouaguenouni, Juan Ignacio Zambrano, Jairo F. Gudiño, and Bertold Kovacs, participated in the event, joining roughly 30 academics and practitioners from Europe, the US, and Canada to share their current work.

The program featured two days of demos, poster sessions, and talks, followed by a third day dedicated to tutorials. The team left Vienna inspired by the diverse approaches being used to advance digital democracy in all its complexity.

Next year’s edition will be hosted by ADDI in Toulouse at the Université Toulouse Capitole. We look forward to it!
