On 23–24 April 2026, the Saint-Etienne School of Economics (GATE) and the University of Amsterdam (ILLC) held their 4th Amsterdam/Saint-Etienne Workshop on Social Choice. This gathering brings together researchers to discuss social choice theory—the study of how to combine individual preferences to make collective decisions, such as in voting systems or resource allocation.
Ulle Endriss (ILLC) was one of the event organizers, and the speaker lineup included Theo Delemazure and Patrick Lederer. The workshop was also attended by Feline Lindeboom, who is currently a visiting researcher at ADDI.
Following a successful two days of talks and discussion, work has already begun on the next edition.
